Wishes

I wish it didnt happen but it did
She should have stopped it before the tires began to skid
Before everything that we once knew became undone

From this earth, her body is now rid

Traveling that road , though her parents had forbid
driving too fast, all sense of responsibility ,shot like a gun

If only the keys had been hid

Her life was taken, she was only a kid

The championships and contests, she'll never have won
The plans she once charted for herself, now off the grid

I wish it didnt happen but it did
Our mourning, our tears , for them there is no lid

From this new pain inside of us, we can never run

"It should have been me" this will not go accepted ,this bid
